I need a couple hours wind down time. This is why I hate doing things on weeknights. When we left at 9:30, they had just brought out snacks and set up hookah. They are much younger than us, but knowing them is a blessing and they are good friends. Gracious people. We enjoy them a great deal, just not how they are able to survive past 9 pm....

He always has been in control. That is just a fact of life for us. But that little added benefit of offering His faithful more than they need always tends to surprise me a bit.

So, we have some more answers. The carbon dioxide trapped in his burst cells in his lungs swell and his lungs pushed down on his esophagus so every time he eats he feels sick to his stomach. He now needs to take anti nausea pills every time he eats and he can only eat a little at a time. He prescriptions have now increased to add heart medication and xanax to help him sleep.

Tomorrow we are going to the mountains for a bridal show and brunch in the pines. I think I will load the scooter tonight.

Debi, is there nothing they can do to make him better? Can't they do a lung transplant or something? Anything???

It would have to be a double lung transplant and his prognosis doesn't give him long enough to get to the top of the list. The docs have put him on it, but it is pretty much not going to happen. The treatments he is doing now have helped him tremendously since he got out of the hospital, but nothing more can be done except with medication to make being awake tolerable. We just take advantage of every good day he has.

We went to Big Bear today and went to a small bridal show and found a bakery that will make the cake we want for $300, which is WONDERFUL! We also went back to the hotel that he proposed at 4 years ago.





The second pic is the room we stayed in. All the rooms are themed and this one was a tree house. We can;t stay there again because of all the stairs, but maybe a different room.
