Life is changing for us, and it is not for a positive reason

I haven't gone to the dollar store yet. I got paid yesterday, ordered the favors and paid bills. Have to go to the feed store and grocery shopping before I can see if there is anything left. Probably not this time.

I know how that feels. My budget is so tight that I don't think I can keep feeding what few animals I have left. I am afraid that I might have to sell my Mille Fleur Cochin flock or some of my silkies (I have a paint and lav roo). I don't have any silkie hens or chicks, and I wonder if I am just kidding myself trying to feed them and holding onto some nice birds that I don't even have hens for. Includes my swedish flower hen pair, if I was smart I would sell them. My circumstances will probably force me to, eventually. This economy sucks. I hope you have more $ next time u get paid. What kind of favors are you going to get?

I am salaried so my paycheck never changes. However, this is the first month that Ken is paid his social security, so these last two checks of mine have been catching up on bills. I think we are pretty much there now. There is a little bit left after shopping and the feed store, but I am hanging on to it "just in case". I hate being flat broke.

I like your favors! So much better than candy or things like that. Your guests can keep them out somewhere like a display or a mantle in remembrance of your wedding! I just had bubbles at my wedding and I kind of wish I had done something more concrete like you have chosen.

I just could not get thrilled about candy or bubbles. I mean, bubbles for when we leave maybe, but not as a favor. I couldn't believe how inexpensive the roses were too. I ordered 60 for $73 including tax and shipping.

Wow! That is cheap! All I can say is I love the internet and internet shopping - you can get such bargains!!! What are your wedding colors (Im sorry if you said it before, but I just dont recall)?

Purple, lavender and cream. My dress is dark purple.

Well that past two days have been a trial for us. Every time Ken does too much, he pays for it. Of course yesterday he did WAY too much and is still paying today. More than once we had thought we would need to go to ER. Sigh.

Sorry to hear that you two have had some bad days lately. Hopefully things will be better for you both. I like your wedding colors. Mine were fuscia, (spelling?) orange, red and yellow. Make sure you have a good photographer and a good videographer. Its one of the most important things, and you will not regret money well spent on that. Food, decor, etc are nice, but its the pictures and interviews with friends and family you will like the most. I gave all of my guests disposable cameras also, and some of them took more interesting or charming pics than the paid photographer, so you might want to think about that.
