I am about to acquire a hen that had splayed legs. She had her legs fixed but she has raised scales. Her feet are puffy and red. We scraped stuff out from under the scales and looked at it from under a microscope. We found no mites. Why are her feet like this? Does it have something to do when she had splayed legs? Her brother had it too but none of the other hens had got it. The owner offered to bathe her and take her to the vet and get her an injection to kill Scaley Leg Mites anyways.
