LIghing up the Coop in Winter

Hey Guys....I know this can be a touchy subject for and against.....but hears goes anyway....

If I put a light in my coop and have it turning on at 4AM to keep egg production up....how long will it take them to get back into a cycle where they are laying again?


does it take a few weeks for them to get kinda back into a regular laying again.

i've heard it can take 2 weeks for the light to kick in.

I an wait 2 weeks.....I was feeling bad that were only getting 2 eggs from 6 chickens....until I talked with someone at church last night that ios getting 2 eggs from 20 chickens!!!
