Light Brahma at 10 Weeks

I was suspicious about Omelet when she/he developed a rather red comb some weeks ago. At 10 weeks I don't see any cockerel feathering yet and the contrast in combs between Omelet and Dumpling isn't as strong now. What do you think?

I really hope so because I am suspecting that Piccata, one of the Silver-Laced Wyandottes might be a rooster and 2 out of 7 would be pretty bad luck for buying sexed pullets.

I had good luck with my first flock.

I bought 6 straight run (sexed) chicks, and they all turned out to be females! Wow!

I would wait a bit. Thinking cockerel due to redness, but too young to definitively say as Brahmas are slow to mature

I posted about my girl when she was 10 weeks not long ago.
I have 3 light Brahmas and her comb and ears were so red all of a sudden! And since they are supposed to be so slow to mature I thought for sure she was a cockerel. But she’s still looking The same and everyone here talked me off the ledge a bit.
I think it might be the same for you! Just a pullet who loves to scare you! Here’s some pics from when I started becoming suspicious to now.

Are Omelet's tail feathers pointy? In one of the photos they look like they could be.

In my in-town flock I had a Light Brahma rooster who managed to pretend to be a hen until a week after "The Red Boys", my packing peanuts, went to freezer camp.

I think it might be the same for you! Just a pullet who loves to scare you!

I hope so. I will want to get males next year when I have larger facilities but not this year. And I don't know that I want a Light Brahma for half my flock's genetics anyway -- as much as I love their beauty.

No, that's just the color pattern tricking the eye.
