Light Brahma chick gender guesses

this is a new thread about a chick posted a few weeks ago. This chick is anywhere from 7-9 weeks old. I don’t know how old it was when I got it as a fuzzy.
The heavy feathering has me bewildered. The comb and wattles have me worried. The comb changes between orange and pink. Yellow orange in regular light.
I was told it looks like a light Brahma. I suspect it’s a cockerel but am holding out hope.

The comb and wattles and the amount of black coming from the neck down the back point toward Cockerel.

Honestly my gut(and the comb) says cockerel, but I don't know how to sex other than comb so I could be incorrect.

My light Brahma makes always feathered out REALLY slow and that seems common so that part is interesting.

i thought so. I will be looking for a good home for him since he was hand raised alone with us he is sweet. I just don't want him eaten. Hopefully I can find a place for him in the Los Angeles area. I already have a rooster and am not allowed anymore.

That’s a cockerel. Here’s my light brahma about the same age.
See how my lady’s wattles are almost non existent? And her comb didn’t puff out above the height of her feathers that much?
