So we are new to having chickens and we currently have Light Brahma chicks that are 5 weeks old and was wondering if we could tell which sex it was or do we need to wait longer?? Thank you and any information is appreciated.

5 weeks is a little young to sex Brahma chicks, but post pictures when they are 10-12 weeks old, and we may be able to tell you what genders they are.

No, Our friend just hatched them. We got them when they were a day old.

You could have some start showing cockerel signs in then next several weeks. It will be obvious by the color and size of their wattles and comb.

I will definitely keep an eye on them. We have 7 but are hoping for at least 3 or more hens.
