It is Friday morning over here and I am having a tall cup of tea.

Interesting about smoke over there....we had so many bush fires in summer and winter that any burning in the backyard is not allowed and obviously illegal. Only cooking food in the backyard is allowed....BBQ stuff. Backyard BBQ is a thing that everyone does..even the vegan..bbq vegetables..

MTn Margie suggested electrolytes drink, this bring a smile to my face because before I have chickens, I have never heard of electrolytes drink, so now I am thinking might be just only people with chickens know this secret, other that do not have chickens will not know it at all.

I hope your headache go away soon DL, electrolytes drink would do it.

We got 2 days of sunshine and now it is raining again..it will be so for the next 4 days. We booked to have breakfast this morning in town, but our hens have started laying egg again and they are screaming so loud that we must be home to ease the noise...Don't want to upset the neighbours. So breakfast is cancelled..... sad...

I just want to do something nice once in awhile...dress up, eat something nice, be pampered, and see the world beside my chicken runs. Might be have a 12pm breakfast somewhere....

Any meals that are nice have to be breakfast or dinner, lunch is just optional hence the menu for lunch is mostly sandwiches.

I had a rocky start to my day with trying to get work done on the screened in room. I couldn't find half the things I was looking for. I came in for lunch and passed out on the couch for 3 hours! I just came in from doing some last minute wiring. It's almost 10:00 at night. I hope I will sleep well tonight.

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

I slept soundly for 6.5 hours. Not much but I feel good and did nap quite long so I'll take it. We are coming into another heat wave. I'll have to water everything this morning and get the girls out early before it gets too hot.
Today's goal is to finish all the framing and wiring.

I hope we do get some useful rain! It is looking a little crispy out there.
I am taking MORF shopping later when it will be a good time to hibernate from the sun.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee. At least one more moderate/beautiful day here. Daughter's dogs arrive for a week long stay. Tootsie, the pug, has claimed me.

Good Morning,

Reading everyone needs rain....I am sending you all endless rain over here. It rains yesterday and it is still raining this morning.....grrrrrr..

Little can be done in this soaking wet weather, animals and human alike trapped in. There is an upside to this is that I can just watch more movies, and chill out.

Here comes the chicken's noise.....yesterday my tiny Japanese bantam hen had an itch, she screams and scream all morning and right into the afternoon, nothing could settled her. Her screaming set off the whole flock screaming with her and I also have a sick rooster in my kitchen crowing his tiny mighty crow. In the end, I had it so I put her in a box in the shed for a little while. Once she was gone, the whole garden was peaceful again.

Then my dear mother rang changing her mind about getting a whole front stair replaced, this required an effort of many people so I made contact to cancel it all. She wanted it done, it was all her insistence, and now she insisted it is not be done. It is her God given right to change her mind. I am not loving the organising and UNorganising it.

At time like this I miss my paternal grandma, she was a straight forward lady, her words were stone set, where as my mom is like a yoyo.

Totally forgot I gave him so much Morphine I knocked him out.

So the Son is taking me out to dinner we will bring something for his Dad.

I have now had 4 caterpillars die in the habitat. WTH? I am going to do some research and find out what the problem might be.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee! Yes, I am donning a sweatshirt at 45F out there!
It was 101F with a good breeze when I took MORF shopping yesterday. So very glad that we did not get a fire start.
Sorry to hear that the caterpillars are not making it, DL. I wonder what is going on as well?
Sky, it sounds like you have your hands full!
