I have decided to return the caterpillars that I have to the field and tie off the cocoons somewhere down there too. I'm going to sanitize my habitat with a bleach solution then get fresh milkweed and clean and sanitize that too. Then I'll start over.

I processed a cantaloupe and took the seeds out to the flock and started lobbing them around. Astrid came running with her chicks and one of the little white ones grabbed a chunk and ran like hell! He had 3 of Savannah's pullets/ cockerels hot on his heels. They ran around the back of the run. I have no idea if he managed to keep his prize.

I still get the occasional English sparrow that gets into the run through the screen doors. It's always irritated me that the chickens just let them eat their food. They'd peck another chicken's eye out for trying to eat their food but the sparrows keep getting off Scot free. Well today I saw two of Savannah's boys go after a sparrow! They've watched me do it enough times they must have figured it out. It was great fun to watch!

Good Morning,

Tea consumed and now coffee.

The sun is out, no sign of rain/wind yet, but they will come. Today the streets are busy looking ugly and messy because tomorrow is Kerb side collection = the local council collects all unwanted stuff.

There are other will drop in to check out what they can recycle. I will have to unload some of the stuff in my shed as well.

for sunshine, blue sky, and just simply sunshine please.
