I have asked twice before on this chicken. Her/His name is Shiro, which means white in Japanese. The first response I got was he was a roo, then Shiro was thought to be a hen, but now Shiro has grown in some new feather that I think are saddle feather and they are pointed, they started devoloping a couple of days ago and are starting to hang off the side, but some are still a little too short to hang. They look different from my 4 other chickens that are 100% hens. Shiro has very thick legs, he is 15 weeks and still does not have all of his feather in, where as the other all had their feather by 6 weeks. Shiro is about a third bigger then the other which include a 16 week Buff Orpington, a 16 week Partridge Rock, a 15 week Rhode Island Red, and a 14 week Easter Egger. Shiro picks on the Rhode Island and the Partridge Rock a lot. This is my first time having chickens and Shiro is confusing me so much as to if its a roo or pullet.

That's him giving the camera the bug eye.

Its hard to get pictures of the white saddle feathers so I had to hold him and put my hand underneath the feathers to get a good outline of them.

Thanks so much.

He hasn't crowed yet then, I have beent playing recordings of rooster crowing, trying to entice him to crow. Are there just some roosters that won't crow, or when can I expect him to crow.
