Light Brahma = Good Layer? are they good layers? about how many a week?
If you googe Henderson's chart you will see a lot of information on most breeds. Brahma's are considered good layers. On the chart there good-very good- prolific. Rhode island reds for example are prolific. I would bet 160 to 180 eggs per year. Awesome looking birds though. I lost one but I liked her a lot.
My Light Brahmas lay every other day.
I just got two twelve week olds today and I am just in love with them! Other than my BR, which I adore, they are the sweetest birds. I wouldn't care if they ever laid an egg I think, lol.
they are my biggest out of all my girls and they are the youngest by 2 months. They lay every other day.
