He/she is 7 weeks old. From MPC and supposed to be a hen. One very BOLD little chickie... makes me wonder

And I know his/her coloring is poor, but I just wanted "pets" so I don't care. I absolutely ADORE this silly chick!

Oh good. I thought the comb looked too small, and not really pink at all.
The other day 2 of the others were "dustbathing" and she stood right over them, sort of keeping watch, I think. Never seen that before. And she's always stretching her neck and looking at everyone... me, the dog, the other chickens... I guess she's just got a lot of personality!
Who would have thought chickens would be so entertaining???!!!

Updated pics... still think she's a she? I do, but she's gotten very bratty

But maybe it's a phase? Basically she is pecking at me constantly, anywhere and everywhere, especially when my back is turned. She jumps up on the roost to "bigger". Right now she's only 10 weeks so I just pick her up & carry her around for a little while. Supposed to work for roosters, right? So I figured why not a little hen w/attitude?
Anyway here are some pics I took tonight (in between running & ducking for cover, just kidding)

Anyone have other suggestions for bratty behavior? I got these particular breeds because they were supposed to be sweet and I wanted pet chickens. Maybe it's me. I also have a rotten Silkie, but I chalked that up to poor raising as I got her at 7 months. This one I can only blame myself, so I wonder if I'm doing something wrong?

I dont know but I love the middle shot... the face on.. its like she is saying "What do you want?"

I also think that's a hen. My Light Brahma's are very imposing hens, but they are not friendly, and seem to be a little aggressive with my other hens (they are the largest, by far). They are probably the least friendly and docile of the breeds I have. I got mine from McMurray's.

I read somewhere that I should be able to tell with relative certainty by around 12 weeks so we're almost there. I'm keeping her either way, just curious about other opinions. And I get the "what do you want?" look ALL the time! She's a riot, pecking and all!

I say a hen. She is very pretty too. I have 3 LB and just love them. I find them to be timid and sweet. They are gorgeous when they finish multing.
