Light Brahma pullet or cockerel?

I’m hoping this is a male as we were looking for a Brahma roo.
I was told “he” is around 6 months old. After getting him out when we got home, the bird looks more like a pullet to me.
Please help!

Cockerel. He has male saddle feathers coming in.

I think it looks more like a pullet, but time will tell. The feathers near his/her tail have been pretty pecked out, so as they start to come in the answer should be obvious. I'd expect a male of that age to at least have some sickle feathers by now.

Brahmas are incredibly slow to mature. They wouldn't have sickle feathers at this age. He is a cockerel without a single doubt

Update: definitely a roo! Thanks y’all.
He now has full-blown saddle feathers and hackles present. Has taken to his own little group of our younger girls who adore him
