light brahmas???

My light brahmas are my favorite breed. The are excellent layers, even throughout the winter - I get large brown eggs from them almost every day. The LB rooster is very sweet and gentle, never attacks anyone, even my 2 year old nephew. They are a cold hardy breed with small combs and do well in the winter. My gang is often out and about during a snow storm!

LOVE the light brahamas. Highly recommend the breed!

i love mine, i got my first pullet egg today. they are gentle, roos are not aggresive to kids or adults. i can pick two of my roos any where anytime. the hens are a bit more timid. mine didnt like the last snow to much, but they will get used to it. they grow big fast. my roos are 7 months old and already weigh over 8 pounds. godzilla, king kong, and kid rock. kids named them. l.o.l

I also like the brahmas, they lay well and are cold hardy but my hens are a bit timid and the kids have a hard time getting close, I also have orpingtons, sussex and Araucanas green eggs and ham ;you can have it with EE's My favorite are the sussex, they always come running and my 6 year old grand daughter catches them every time. we have a sussex rooster (Tommy) and a EE roo, Gracie , he was supposed to be a hen, and was named as a wee chick (,poor thing the name stuck )as he was the only white" hen" with out hairy feet. The sussex rooster has gone after the kids though so I would not suggest him as a good pick though we are trying to break him of that bad habit. we live in Mi. and all my hens are laying . we get about 2+ dozen a week , usually 4 to 6 a day out of 11 hens.
