Light Brahmas

That's what I think too. They have beautiful feminine heads - the boys have a coarser look - bigger head. You have some beautiful eggs on the way

This year I had both Light and Dark Brahmas. I will never get another white chicken as long as I live. I am way out in the country and I think the white chickens just stand out too much and end up being predator bait. Yes, my chickens free range over my pasture and yard, flower beds etc. But while I have not lost a single dark bird, not a Maran, Black Jersey Giant or any of my other dark birds, the white ones must look like a real treat cause I have lost them like crazy. Well, I actually found out my closest neighbor, still a quarter of a mile away has 6 of them. His son let it slip that they were over there, so I had to go get them. Hate to say it but he was mad that his son told me...doesn't say much for his honesty. This after I risk life and limb to get his Jersey calf out of the road a couple of weeks ago. I think I will be building a pen this spring and just let them free range when I can be out there to keep any eye on them. Train them with feed to come back to the pen when called.
