Light Bulb Wattages

Am I correct in believing the lower the bulb wattage, the less heat it gives off?

With regular bulbs yes. CFLs do not produce heat.

That would be correct. Allow me to tell you something that I found out the hard way. I would prefer to use 2 bulbs of smaller watts than one single big watt bulb. I use those double light appliances. The reason is because if one burns out, you still have at least some heat and light. Its not nice to wake up and find you have only 4 survivors and 10 or so deceased that froze to death during the night. And remember a thermometer is a chicks best friend.
