light in homemade bator???

I have seen a bunch of pics of peoples homemade bators and they have aluminum foil in the front of their light. Why is this??? Thanks -Jay

No idea, I don't do this and haven't seen it. Do you have a homemade bator? What type of set up do you have.

Hmm maybe its to deflect heat and keep it from bakeing eggs that are to close or , from burning chicks?
