Light in the coop?

That's really pretty. Hopefully I can remember to. She's taking forever to start. I didn't exactly expect lots of eggs from her, just pretty ones.

Last November I started hoarding eggs in the spare fridge I have. I accumulated several dozens since most of my girls were laying very well. This way we will have eggs throughout the winter, of course it helps that it is only my husband and me. I hate buying store eggs. I have already started getting few eggs, I went from 1 to 4 YEAH!!!

My youngest barnevelder started today finally. A beautifully perfect dark brown eggs, no olive eggs yet.

It seems the more colorful the egg the less they lay. Makes them all the more precious to find.

Well had I been more patient my question would have been irrelevant. My Crested Cream Legbar, Stella, decided it was time to resume laying. It looks like the other ladies will be joing her and Emma in laying very soon.
