Light or dark Brahmas?

I got some Brahma chicks from a local feed store, they were labeled as light brahmas, but the chicks were chipmunk patterned. I chalked it up to them being mislabeled but recently I’m not sure. This is how they’ve feathered out at 7 weeks old. This is the first time I’ve had brahmas so I wasn’t sure.

Yes I know. But why were the chicks chipmunk patterned?

The ones i circled are light brahmas. The plain white ones look like leghorns or cornish cross. The chipmunk ones im not sure on. @MysteryChicken

Those are leghorns and welbars. I was asking about the light Brahma looking ones. Sorry for the confusion.

Yep, definitely Light Brahmas. That's just how they look as chicks I guess the Columbian patterning can look chipmunky in the very beginning. Enjoy. Brahmas are the best.

I love my brahmas! I have had 2 one this year and one last year. They take awhile to warm up to me but once they do they are the best.
