my chicks r 61/2 weeks old do i still need to keep a heat lamp on we r still gettin frost at night in england

That depends on how feathered they are and if they are in a coop. If so, how well insulated is it? If they are still inside, they don't need it.

hi 2 have nearly all their feathers and other 2 still have down they r inside a brick built shed at the moment

I just put my 9 week olds out in the coop, they have a light but not a heat light. Im crossing my fingers they do ok tonight.

Here is a pic of the coop and the small inclosure a friend and I built today.

I made it all out of recycled peices around the house.

ur coop is really great have u separated it because u got other chickens as i dont have any others or just to keep them warm

Thank you, I separated it because I didn't want the little guys to be picked on by my older birds, this way they can see them but not hurt them
