New peafowl owner here. Have 1 peacock n 2 hens. Now that laying season is just about here and they are all 21/2 yrs old, do the hens need more daylight hours like chickens do to lay ?

Length of day regulates the breeding season but do not give artificial lighting as it will really mess with the cocks. Dramatic changes of daylight by adding artificial light can make the cocks drop their trains and lose interest in the hens. People that use heat lamps in the winter can ruin their breeding season.
