Hi,

I am picking up 20 chicks on Tuesday and I have the brooder already set up. I have raised chicks many of times, but always in my garage that has decent sunlight, plus the garage light. This round I am putting them in the barn. It is pretty dark in there but it does have a light. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for temporary lighting.

Thanks.

If there is power in there, you could get an LED light for it, or a battery LED light if no power.

What does your brooder look like? Some LED strips could go in the lid on a timer or by light switch. Need a few more details for suggestions.

We have many applications of lights here, such as this very temporary backup brooder using my office desk lamp.

You'd want LED so it's not adding heat or a fire hazard.
