light sussex behaving badly, blood!!

Help, my 2 little orphaned light sussex are fighting.
They were born at easter.
The one with the shorter tail is pecking the one with the longer tail!! on the head, drawing blood.
So i separated them today, then put in to roost together tonite as it is cold. they got on fine but tommorrow ill separate them again.
Ill go and put ointment on tonite, Purple horse stuff!
Any other suggestions????

Bantymum, so glad they are getting along better. Some times you just never know why one gets an attitude for a day. Hope they continue to get along.
