I just purchased the Bethlehem battery operated strands of lights without the garland. They were on sale last week! I haven't installed them yet because my girls are still getting enough light. I plan to set the lights up this weekend. Have you ever used the lanterns?

do you have electric in your coop.if so you can get the timers at lowes for around $6.00.they are in the light and lamp section.and i found some of the on at dusk and off at dawn battery operated candles at our local family dollar store.that has been a couple of years ago.the batteries don't last long.and in the christmas section.good luck.
