Lighting for hatching

I have 40 eggs that are beginning to pip in the incubator, I have had the lights off in the incubation room as per the instructions, but should I turn on the light now so they can have an easier go of cracking out of their shells?

My hatching area is dark, they say to have it dark as they hatch so they are calm as the unhatched are in the eggs. I am almost at day 20 I have 4 pips.

My incubator was in my kitchen, it had daylight and I turned on the light when I was in the kitchen.

It can't be that light under a broody hen is one thought I have.

More light equals earlier chicks playing (more) soccer with unhatched ones in my (long and excessive) incubating experience. Darkness preferred.
