Just finished the coop today 5 week old chick's it there for the first time. I had few a radiator tool they are totally temperate self sufficient. Also I stung up some Christmas lights in the cup so they can see. Mistake?
Probably, yes.
They don't need lights...coop should have enough windows for natural light.
Those strings of lights could be a hazard...as can 24/7 lighting.
They don't likely need heat either...those radiators are pretty safe
IF the birds cannot touch them. I believe the surface can get pretty hot..and you sure don't want them pooping on it.
Post pics of your coop and run for more specific assessments and suggestions.
