Lights inside coop without power

Where did ya get yours at?? Our barn is way the heck out in our back yard (pitch black) and we don't have electricity out there.Been wanting to put something like that in.Had some problems with other critters getting in the coop and that would be perfect.Also to see where I'm stepping at in the barn.

I use the touch lights too. I have small ones that get 100 hours of light from 3 AAA batteries. They dim after a few nights but not too much, I can still see fine. I usually have one on but when they get really dim I use two.

I got some solar yard lights from Walmart - When I let my chickens out each morning I pop them in the ground. At night when I lock up the chickens I put the lights in with them.

You could also try running the extension cord and getting some of the U-shaped pins used to hold down drip irrigation hoses. That should keep the cord too low for the lawnmower to run over it. I've got St. Augustine grass in my front yard which needs a higher mower height and used those to hold down thick soaker hoses and have never cut one in several years of use.
Now the grass has actually grown over the hoses so that you can't even see them and that's had the added benefit of shielding the hoses from the sun. Although I can still pull/dig out the soaker hoses (I tried just to see if it was possible), I don't want to because they've already lasted 5 times as long as the soaker hoses that I had exposed to the sun!
I plan on doing just this to run and extension cord to my soon-to-be-completed coop.

I haven't put one in my coop yet, but I got a couple LED touch lights for our travel trailer. My son has used them quite a bit to read in the evenings and no trouble with dimming. They seem to last longer than regular touch lights.

I got them at Target. They are smaller & not a ton of light, but it's enough for him to read by
