I have been researching to figure out why my two 13 week old silkies are the only ones who huddle underneath the coop instead of going in like everyone else, and noticed in many of the threads here suggest a light in the coop, and that many times the silkies will go in once there is a light. My question is....does the light need to be right inside the coop or can it be something like fairy lights strung around the outside so that some of the light goes in the windows? Do you guys leave them on all night or just for an hour or two?
Every evening we have to go out there and shoo them up the ramp.
They may not be the sharpest knives in the drawer but are the cutest things on the planet.
