Lights?

Go to www.niteguard.com They are solar powered and they cost around $20. I have heard great things about them and my aunt uses them for her free ranging chickens(she lives in a very heavy wooded area and the chickens will sleep in the trees at night and the blinking light scares the heck out of the predator animals)

Light might work if you are in a dark area and there are no lights around. I my part to the country light have very little effect on local wildlife. You can see them in critter cams and they are not bother by the flash of the camera. It is best to make your coop and runs predator proof to start with. If you're a free ranger, then maybe be twinkling lights would work, but for how long?
