Lightweight nesting box ideas?

Paint buckets sound really good, have a lot of those lying around my grandpa's farm.

I use the 5 gallon plastic totes as nesting boxes. Cut a hole in it for them to get in and out, and voila! Nesting boxes that are light but durable! I especially like these because I can reach in from the top by removing the lid. I got my totes for free from a family member, so that was another plus for me. The possibilities are endless!
Oh, and for milk crates, I know that TSC sells them brand new, but maybe you can check some dairies or milk transportation places and see if they have any they might give to you or sell cheaply?
