Lilac turkeys hatching out white?

I purchased lilac turkey hatching eggs last year from a hatchery online and ended up with a pair... (I don't have many pictures of my hen)

So this year I started hatching out their babies. Last week I hatched 4 and one of them ended being white. The hatchery specifically states that these are from Porter's lilacs so they should only be producing lilacs. I was hoping that maybe the poult was just a fluke but more started hatching today and at least one of them so far is white. They come out more yellow than the others with the bronze showing on their heads but no grey like lilacs.

The three in the front here are all the same color. The one closest to the camera is white

I emailed the hatchery and they said their birds came straight from Kevin porter and he didn't know what to tell me because his birds haven't crossed with another color but he would look into it.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience anything similar?

The poult pics look like the Lilac poults shown at Porter's Rare Heritage Turkeys. I have never raised Lilac turkeys so cannot say whether there is anything wrong or not. I do know that the wing feathers that are currently coming in are not the mature feathers and does not necessarily mean that the poult is going to be white..

I raised Blue Slates. When the first wing feathers would come in, they had white tips. The adult birds did not have any white anywhere on them. This is an interim stage and may or may not be meaningful. You need to be in contact with Kevin Porter.

He is very busy.

Although rare, genetic mutations do still occur in turkeys.

The lilacs come in barred with an off white

The hatchery also sells royal palms so I thought maybe that could have something to do with it

I don't think a Royal Palm/Lilac cross would cause that.
