As a poultry specialist with over three years of hands-on experience in hatchery operations and conventional production, I've developed a deep understanding of the intricacies of poultry management. Despite my expertise, I've found myself drawn to the allure of backyard poultry keeping, eager to explore its unique challenges and rewards. My background in nutrition, animal welfare, and chicken disease management equips me with a solid foundation to delve into this fascinating realm of small-scale poultry husbandry. Although my current living situation in Texas, courtesy of an HOA restriction, prevents me from realizing my dream of owning backyard hens, I remain passionately committed to expanding my knowledge in anticipation of that future opportunity. In the meantime, I channel my enthusiasm for nature and self-sufficiency into hobbies like gardening vegetables and experimenting in the kitchen. With three wonderful children by my side, our upcoming family camping adventures promise to be filled with cherished memories.
