Lilly's Life:

Chapter 8

It was the next day. My mind was a blur. I couldn’t think straight. The girl walked in.
“Hey girl. Thought of a name for you. How about… Lilly? Do you like Lilly? It suits you perfectly!” Huh, what a coincidence. I guess the name Lilly did fit me good. I smiled at her and she smiled back.
“Well I think you get to get out of this box soon! Maybe even today. But then that means you get to leave me. Which will make me sad. But I’m sure you want to be out there with your friends and family.” She said with a solemn face. I looked away. I liked this girl. She was nice to me; she even helped me get better!
I looked back at her and she had a sad face on her.
“Well Lilly, How you feeling?”
I was actually feeling better today. I was just the right temperature and I wasn’t dizzy.
“You look fine today, to me. How bout I take you to my parents and we’ll see if we can let you out today?”
She picked me up and I didn’t even run away from her hand. I used to think they were monsters trying to eat us, but now I know she won’t hurt me.
We went into a room where the man and woman sat.
“Mom, Dad, I think we should take Lilly back into the coop. She looks normal to me!”
“You even named her?” the man asked.
“Yep! Lilly suits her well. So can I put her back?”
The dad leaned in and took me in his hands. They were so big! I was scared so I squirmed.
“She looks fine to me, I guess. What do you think, dear?” the man asked the woman.
“She looks normal,” The woman said, “go ahead and take her to the coop. If she gets sick again, take her back in even longer.
“Ok!” the girl said.
She went through a maze. This was one confusing house of theirs.
We finally found a door and went out it and into the outside. The fresh air hit me like weeds hitting my face when I run through them.
None of my friends or family was around the house.
“Well Lilly, here’s your stop off,” the girls said sadly, “wait. How bout I just drop you off at the coop?”
We then walked to the coop; I was still huddled in her hands. It was quite cold out, but it barely affected me.
We finally got there and I saw my mom!
She spoke. “Lilly! LILLY! It’s you!”
The girl let me down. I ran to my mom.
“I love you mommy.” I said while hugging her.
