Lilly's Life:
Chapter 31
I nearly screamed. I ran the other direction, not sure on where I was going. I looked back and the raccoon was after me now. I tried to run towards the human house but I still didnt know where I was going! It was a blizzard out here!
I ran right then left. I figured I was confusing the raccoon because when I looked back again I didnt see him. While I was looking back I banged into something which knocked me out.
Where am I? Suddenly it came to me. I am on a hill and its snowing hard, but I feel numb and cold inside. How is it that Im even still alive in this horrid weather? I thought. I looked around me, twenty raccoons surrounding me. They were all growling and hissing at me, ready to pounce. I screamed.
I woke up, snow covering my whole body. I brushed it off and looked all around for the coon. No where.
Just then I realized my body did actually start to feel numb and cold. I shivered. I looked up at the sky. It wasnt as bad as a blizzard now but it was still blinding. I looked straight ahead and saw the pine tree. I headed over to it right away and climbed to its most thick of braches and needles.
I huddle in. Snow was still touching me though.
God, please make it stop. I said while closing my eyes shut, not wanting to see the snow. I saw the scene of my little dream, playing on my eye lids like a projector. I watched it over and over again, looking into the eyes of those raccoons and them practically killing me.
I snapped my eyes open, not wanting to blink again. Why did I have that little, hm, nightmare anyways? What did it mean.
I looked down and there I saw beady yellow eyes staring at me.
I screamed and flew more up the tree. The coon kept following me, getting madder by the second!
Get away from me! I yelled at it.
It growled and kept moving towards me. I finally reached the top of the tree and looked all around me. I was up pretty high. I looked back at the raccoon and he was gaining on me now. I held my breath. Should I jump? Then I did, letting the wind take me to wherever.
