~~Lilly's Life~~ (The 2nd book in The Lonely Hen series) LAST CHAPTER UP!

Thanks! Unfortunately I have been super busy with other things I haven't gotten a chance to really write a long chapter. Hopefully soon I will be able to.

I totally understand being busy with other things. I'll be here waiting for when you do get a chance to post more.

Lilly's Life:

Chapter 28 (The last and final chapter to the series of The Lonely Hen)

I awoke to a bright light beaming on me. I blinked and looked around me. I was back in the girl’s house, in one of the boxes. Where was everyone? Where’s dad and Jaz? Was Lacy here? I shook my head. All this thinking made my head hurt even more.
The girl peeked in my box, “Well hello Lilly.” She smiled at me. “You have been sleeping for a while. Good thing I came down at the right time or those coons would have gotten you.” The thought of coons eating me sent shivers up my back. “Well it’s time for you and that other girl to get out!” Do you mean Lacy!? I grinned at the thought.
She then put some food and fresh water down in my box and I ate and drank a lot. Once I was done I sat in the middle of the box and let the light soak into my feathers.
Later the girl came back, “Time to go girl!” She reached down and picked me up. Then she went to a new box. I tried peeking in it but I couldn’t see anyone. Then she reached down in that box and got out…. Lacy? Lacy…. Lacy!
“Lacy!” I crooked out. She turned to me and smiled big.
“Lilly!” A single tear was sprout from her eye. Great now she’s gonna make me cry.
“Lacy… you look so… different!”
“Is that bad?” She asked.
“No… I meant in a good way!”
She laughed and nodded, “Oh alright. Wait why were you in here?”
I shook my head, “Doesn’t matter. What matters is that we’re together now!”
Soon we were outside. It was a little warmer out than before. The sun beat down on us. I sniffed in the fresh air. I can’t wait to see my parents.
The girl then went down to our coop, “Well girlies, here’s your home.” Then she set us down. We instantly ran to the coop.
“Mom! Dad!” I yelled out. I saw my parents coming out of the coop to meet me.
“Lilly!” They both came and hugged me tightly. Then I saw Rose come running out to hug me too.
I laughed and noticed Lacy had no one to hug. Once they let me go I went up to her and hugged her. Then Rose and my parents joined in.
Jaz came out now, along with his hens. Jaz and most of the hens greeted us. I looked around and wondered where Ginger was. Oh well.

It was later on in the evening and we were out in the coop area, chatting and laughing together. Everyone was having fun.
So this is life for you. There are ups and downs, but sometimes you just have to try. After all life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about going out there and dancing in the rain.

~Lilly
