Lime ? HELP PLEASE

Is is safe to use while birds are still in coop and run or ? have wide variety of birds in my coop and run It has been accidently put out will it hurt them?

yes as far i know its safe to put lime down in the coop an run with hens in there.ive always put it on the ground where ive had calf pens.an it never hurt the calves.

Hydrated lime burns chickens feet...not suppose to be on it for acouple weeks if its tilled in... watered or rained on...Garden lime is alittle gentler but still will burn their feet... need to be off it for a few days, watered or rained on ...if its either one of these...
