Lime ? when to use

Was wandering how much lime I need to use in may runs as I have a wide variety of birds in them IS IT SAFE to use while they are still in there?

As long as it's agricutural lime, it will be okay to use around your birds.

I don't use it myself so I can't tell you how much you should use. Hopefully someone will see this and have an answer for you!
