Limit their tomatoes??

This is good news! I live between some tomato farms, and wherever tomatoes go to get processed so the streets are (literally) littered with free tomatoes. Nice that I can put them to use.

Make sure you wash them really good, chances are they're soaked in pesticides.

I am very picky about my tomatoes. All split or discolored tomatoes go to the chickens. Alot of them are discolored due to the sun bleaching them. :/Any rotten tomatoes get chucked into the woods. Any tomatoes with mold on them are disposed of as well. The remaining tasty tomatoes are ours.
Which reminds me, it is time for lunch and I was going to have an omlette with tomato and cheese. We have 2 dozen eggs in the fridge, so that should last us until the hens start laying again after breaking a broody streak.

i let our chickens eat to their hearts content. they eat both green and ripen tomatoes. no problems. we even just got our first egg yesterday barely at 19 weeks!
