I am a new member to the chicken world. We have 6 3-month old black jersey giants. They have become wonderful pets! They are locked in the coop at night but get to range around the yard in the day. I need to limit them to the back yard and woods. Do chickens respond to any of the scent-type repellants such as fox urine? Any other ideas?

Sorry, but fencing is the only thing I'm aware of that will limit where a chickens goes. You might consider deer netting. It's almost invisible (ask my dogs, who ran into it a few times when I put it around my garden), and it's very cheap (a 100ft. x 7ft - I cut it in half to get 200 ft.)...around $16 a roll. I've always wanted a JG...heard they had very sweet temperaments...
