How long will it take you to get to the vet once you start your walk there? Do you have a crate you will be carrying her in or will you be bundling her in a towel? Just asking so we can advise how best to keep her warm and comfortable.

She will go in a taxi inside a cat carrier.

We're home from the vet.

Limon has a broken bonein her left foot and a hurt toenail. Her right leg is sprained. Vet looked her over very carefully.

She has to stay in her travel carrier for 3 days to rest, then we return to the vet. New vitamins and antibiotics were given.

Vet suggests silicon socks/shoes after she recovers to prevent future injury. I guess apartment floors aren't so good for ducks.

We have laminate, wood, and marble. With area rugs.

I think the room transitions can be a problem (I sometimes trip too lol). They aren't always level in Turkey. Limon actually tripped over a table base. It's a folding table. This wasn't the first time. But she walks over this spot maybe 50 times a day.

In general, ducks don't do as well on land as water. Floors are much harder than soft earth too. I've watched ducks online who wear shoes when they walk on sidewalks and pavement.
