limp chicken

Yesterdsay I noticed that one of my chickens was laying down and would not stand up. picked her up & she was limp half down to the legs. No egg in process & no other visible symptoms.
Please help. Am a newcomer have 6 chickens don't even know the breed. Really like to learn all I can about chickens. Thats why I picked this site.
