So we have a chicken that is limping but shows no signs of bumble foot or infection. When I checked her leg the only difference was that on one foot the foot closed when I put my finger in the center and on the other side that didnt happen. Any thoughts as to what could be wrong? She isnt acting sick so should I worry?

Hi,

How old is this chicken? Did it limp it's whole life and just get worse now or did this just recently happen?

It could be it got its foot caught in something so strained or sprained it, or if young, it could be a vitamin deficiency.

Regardless of which it is, B-Complex should help it. An adult chicken can have 1/2 adult dosage of a pill. If a chick, then 1/4.

Soaking the foot for 15 or so minutes in warm Epsom salts might help it too. It'd also let you inspect it closer.
