Limping chicken

I noticed today that one of my pullets has developed a limp on her left foot. She is reluctant to put any weight on it and hops around, yet she seems to be drinking and eating normally. I inspected her and visually I couldn't see anything wrong nor did she respond when I put pressure along that leg. How common do chickens get muscle strains? I'm hoping that that's what it is and she recovers...

Its more common than you'd think.
I had a hen climb a small wood pile and dislodge a log, which hit her leg.
She limped for 3 weeks, but turned out to be just fine.
