Limping cx

Have a Cornish x that is favoring and limping on one leg, at her top bend looks a little red, wasn't doing it this morning, growing too fast or did one of the others do something? And what should I do for it

How old? If she's growing too fast the only remedy for that is an early slaughter. CXs are not built for the long haul. She would not be the first to outgrow her legs. You can park her next to the resources and hope she makes it to your estimated dispatch date. I have done that with a few that were a few days shy of slaughter, but not much more than a week away. After a week, they tend to have other issues show up if they can't be mobile- breast blisters/skin tears, exacerbation of heart and circulatory issues, infections, etc. I am not one to waste meat, so if a CX shows a tendency towards an early demise, then I get money's worth by slaughtering early. Not a great return on investment, but it's better than no return at all.

It is about 5-6 weeks. It will move but doesn't like to.. It was fine in the am but when I got home.. Gimpy, thinking one the others may have caused it.. I'll give it a few days then she may be nuggets.. I know they're not long birds, hoping for 8-10 weeks though..
