I have a 3 mo. old duck that was attacked by my dog about 2 1/2 weeks ago. She was ruffed-up & her feathers pulled, but no bite marks or puncture wounds on her. Then last week she started to limp. I looked at her foot and the toes are swollen and curved. Is thisan injury from the dog attack or could this be bubblefoot? My ducks are free-range all day and put away at night. Their bedding is dry and clean. What do you think??? How should I treat this??

Quote:If it is you will see a scab on the bottom of the foot. Here is a link to info. if your dog picked up the duck it could have caused some nerve damage which is showing up because it hasn't had a chance to heal. Some R&R might be in order. Give it a few days and see if keeping it from using the leg much might help it to recover. What ever it may be I hope it recovers quickly. All the best. https://www.backyardchickens.com/se...ickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=533905#1182 [IMG]
