Limping Duck

i have a 3 month old Pekin Drake that has been limping over the past couple of days. The leg or foot doesn’t seem to be broken. I’ve been giving them brewers yeast.
Should I see a vet? What’s happening? What can I do to fix it? Thanks for all of the replies.

He might have sprained his ankle on a hole and his just naturally healing it by limping. Is there any pot holes near them? If so I would fill them in or else you might have more limping.

Check the bottom of the foot for bumble foot. Feel around a bit more for anything broken.

I did, it doesn’t feel like it’s broken

But there’s at least 10 small mole holes in our big back yard, so he might of steped in one.

Look on the bottom of his foot for swelling, blk scab it could be bumble foot
If he stepped in a hole then rest for a few days should help it heal.

I had a Cayuga duck that sprained his ankle and it took one and a half weeks for him to fully recover it.
I would say to try and rest him on a roost. I would not allow him to swim in deep water ponds, until fully recovered, because he might not be able to get out of the pond, and might drown. Believe me, I had, previously, two buff Orpington ducks, they both had sprained ankles, and where stuck in a pond, I went to work and on coming back found one died and the other almost drowning.

So should I separate him from my other duck until he heals or just leave him out there, he lays down a lot outside so he is getting some rest.
