Limping Duck

I know this is a chicken forum, but I hope someone here can help me. We have a 3 month old Pekin duck that started limping yesterday. He has a small cut on his ankle; we have put neosporin on it. But the joint seems swollen. Should I just keep him confined to limit movement? Can I give him something for pain? Anything I should watch for?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have three white pekin ducks also and when one of them was younger it had the same problem. The only that I did was made sure not to scare it (because that would make it run), and kept the cut clean by just wiping it off with a soft, warm, wrung out dish towel. The duck didnt seem to mind very much that i was wiping the dirt off its leg. Hope that helps
