Limping. Help

Thursday morning I went out to let my Silkies out and Splash, my Roo, come limping out. I checked him and there was no swelling and nothing felt out of place. I figured maybe he sprained it when he jumped of the perch. He is still limping today, and it’s worse...he’s not putting any weight on it at all. I still see no swelling and nothing feels odd. What could be wrong and what should i do??

Put him in a cage so he cant walk around much so he can heal. Give him some vitamins and extra nutrients

This is what I do with limpers:
If limp is really bothering them by inhibiting their normal activities too much, I will isolate them in a crate to 'force' rest for a day or two. Letting them out late in day, an hour before roost time, to give them a stretch and evaluate their mobility, then decide if they need another day and put them back in crate off roost after dark. Repeat stretch and eval the next day until they are better. Keep crate in coop so bird can remain 'with' the flock.

Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.
Then you can put tray underneath crate to better observe droppings without it being stepped in. If smaller mesh is carefully installed, tray can still be used inside crate.
You can add a chunk of 2x4 on floor as a 'roost' to give feet a break form the mesh.

You can use aspirin with chickens, worked for my daughter's pullet that was limping. Watch your dosing and like stated isolate so he can rest it. Good luck!

I’m working right now...will try to take video When I get home. He’s in a dog crate right now. He has a kids plastic log cabin playhouse as a coop with roosts in it

Sorry...he is worse, he’s 18 months old! Here is a video...

Poor Fella!
No swelling of the hock, hip, etc.?
Getting an x-ray would be a good idea, but it's understandable if that is not an option.

I would limit his activity and see if that helps.

If you gently press on the bottom of his foot, can he grasp it? I noticed his toes dragging, as if it has no function. Can you check?
