limping hen, bumblefoot?

I went out to cut the hens nails today for the first time ever because i noticed one was limping. Didn't even know cutting nails was a thing. My 7 yr old buff is the one that caught my attention. this to me looks like dried poop but i couldn't remove it with the hose wetting it. never had bumblefoot to deal with before. what is this?

As the surrounding area doesn't look inflamed, I would soak her feet in a dawn dish soap bath for as long as you can, just a couple inches of water. Then see if you can pick the scab off, if you can that's great, slather it with antibiotic ointment and wrap it up with vet wrap. Check it in a couple of days and soak and wrap again.

i soaked it epsom salt (was doing this 2 hours ago before i saw the reply) and picked it away with tweezers. i couldn't get part of it out but that's because it seemed still attached to healthy tissue. the rest came out like a plug. it's wrapped up and she's hanging out in our bathtub and will likely be there for a week. she's very quiet but she has never been a very vocal girl. got a bucket feeder and nipple bottle in there with some bananas for being a good girl

This is the other day during a dressing change. Tissue looks to be healing well but I don't want to let her walk on that yet. I put Neosporin on it for dressing change every two days. How's it looking? Still has that gouge in the middle

Looks like it's healing! Keep soaking, cleaning, applying neosporen and wrapping till it's healed. It might take a little while, you can use a mole pad cut to the right size once it's completely healed till the foot pad toughens up again but make sure it's completely healed first.

i think shes bored as hell in there but also she makes little whirs when i come in and give her grubs. maybe she likes it i don't know. i gotta get some of that moleskin stuff

Also, maybe it's just the angle of the photo but the scales look a little raised like she might have scaly leg mites. I could be wrong but it wouldn't hurt to treat for that also if you think that might be a possibility.

i just assumed her feet were getting scaly bc shes old. i have alcohol readily available ill do that.

That might also be a possibility, it's hard to tell from the photos but it wouldn't hurt to treat her just to be sure.
