They're hatching!!!!

I mentioned awhile back I had 8 crested cream legbar eggs. Well, only 7 made it to hatch day (had a quitter sadly, I've been using my fancy meteorologist toys to monitor humidity and temperature, so at least I know it's not that...) and I just took a brain break from work to find one had externally pipped! I may or may not have cried! I'm so excited!!

I'm grateful the remaining chicks seem to be doing well and I'm so very happy to be achieving a dream I've had for over a decade! Come on, little babies! I can't wait to meet you!!

One egg has been moving a lot. I can hear the chick peeping, too!

Two more eggs have externally pipped! The second one to pip is the one that's been crazy active. It's still moving around and making noise!

I was woken up around 2:30 this morning to someone making a ruckus! Someone was pushing their way through the egg and had a few complaints about it.

Then at 4:30 this morning, I was woken up again, and this little love had come out of her (?) shell. Welcome to the world, honey, I'm so happy to meet you!
